52. EMUS BMS Mini 3 Sleep mode logic description

  • Mini BMS can be woken up by toggling the sleep pin or the ignition pin if at least one of them is mapped to a GPI (you can configure any of 5 GPIs for PF49 Sleep Button Input and PF4 Ignition Key Input). You can use Mini’s 5/12V output pin as voltage source for the button to be connected to the wake-up inputs (the ignition or sleep button) as the PSU output is active in sleep mode, if enabled. (If the firmware version for mini is NON-CAN charger, then the PF3 Charger Mains AC Input can also be used for waking up the mini);
  • Measured BMS consumption in sleep mode at ~70V is ~1.1mA;
  • BMS functions are paused during sleep. The contactors are deactivated. The Mini wakes itself up every 10mins to checkup on voltages, any other statuses, CAN messages and if there are no events requiring staying awake (e.g. charger CAN messages), it goes to sleep.

Sleep Mode

If sleep mode is entered by activating the sleep pin, deactivating it will wake the Mini up. To wake up Mini from sleep due to low voltage, the usual wake up method – pin toggling is used.
